Võrumaa Karask with Spread – A Traditional Tasty Treat

Join us and learn how to make the traditional Võrumaa karask! Karask is a soft and moist barley bread cake, cherished in Estonia for centuries. This hands-on workshop will guide you step by step, from mixing the rye flour dough, baking, to preparing a delicious spread to enjoy with your karask.

Along the way, we’ll also share the cultural and historical background of karask in Võrumaa, tips for achieving a soft and fluffy texture, and ideas for adding different flavors.
The workshop is hosted by Stedingu Maja Resto&Kohtumispaik.
