As a non-profit organization, the foundation relies on the generosity of individuals like you. All events including Estonian Cultural Days 2017 are fully funded by donations and sponsors. Volunteers have spent countless hours assisting in assuring we can continue to keep Estonian culture alive.

About the Celebration
Estonian Cultural Days in New York (“Eesti Kultuuripäevad New Yorgis”) is a multi-day affair with concerts, theater performances, lectures, and other events spanning five days from April 5-9 and featuring Estonians from both the local diaspora and abroad. The five day event celebrate Estonian culture in the United States. Most concerts and theater performance will take place in the historic New York Estonian House.

5.-9. aprillini toimuvad New Yorgis Eesti kultuuripäevad, kus esineb ka WAF-koor eesotsas Ott Leplandi, Tanja Mihhailova, Liis Lemsalu ja Kaire Vilgatsiga. Kultuuripäevadel astub üles ka La La Ladies. WAF-koori esituses tulevad New Yorgis maailma esiettekandele lood Eesti-teemalisest Broadway muusikalist «The Innocence».
Lembe Lokk is an Estonian singer, composer, actress and a poet currently based in Paris, France. In her most recent single “Don’t Ask” she addresses the immigration issue both in English and in Estonian. A discussion that sparked many contrary views all around Europe and North America takes a new perspective through the eyes of “a refugee of her personal life”. Vaba Eesti Sõna had a chance to get an exclusive background story of her recent song as well as her upcoming poetry and thought compilation “elsewhere, today” soon to be published in France.
23.-27. märtsil toimunud Eesti Kultuuripäevad New Yorgis lõppesid Ülestõusmispühade kontsert-jumalateenistusega EELK New Yorgi Eesti Ev. Luteri Usu Koguduse koduks olevas Immanueli Luteriusu kirikus Lexington Avenüü ja 88. tänava nurgal. Teenistuse viis läbi koguduse õpetaja praost em. Uudo Tari. Sopran Kristi Roosmaa Tootell esines Erik Veski oreli saatel ja esitas ka a cappella eesti rahvalaulu “Meil aiaäärne tänavas”. New Yorgi osariigis Rochesteri Ülikoolis õppivad noored muusikud Valev Laube (viiul), Evan Basta (vioola) ja Samay Kapadia (kitarr) esitasid muuhulgas ka Valev Laube loomingut. Kuulajate hulgas viibinud EV peakonsul New Yorgis Eva-Maria Liimets tänas esinejaid lilledega.

Lembe Lokk is an Estonian-born singer, composer, actress and a poet currently based in Paris, France. She presented her music and poetry at the Estonian Cultural Days 2016, accompanied by two New York-based musicians Charlie Rauh and David Rothenberg.
