Is the architect Louis Kahn (1901-1974) not only in dialogue with a history of the finest works of architecture, but also with the medieval architecture of his the birthplace, the island of Saaremaa? Art historian Heie Treier will introduce her latest research which is based on the above assumption. She will make use of the work of the architectural photographer Arne Maasik, who has spent a decade photographing Kahn’s buildings in the United States, Bangladesh, and India, in comparison to Saaremaa’s medieval architecture.

This movie touches us all, as summer work in the US has become something of a phenomenon among students in Europe – everyone knows someone who has spent a summer in USA – some experiences good, some not so good, each a story in it’s own right.

Together with autumn rains arrives Aleksander's daughter Marju, who hopes to inherit the old man's house, tear it down and put up a guesthouse on the lot instead.
Priit Vesilind is an Estonian and American senior writer and photojournalist of National Geographic magazine and an author of nonfiction. His presentation will examine the background of publishing a book "Estonians in America--1945-1995, Exiles in a Land of Promise", the difficulties of delivering it, and the value it carries for Estonians-Americans, academics, and many others interested in Baltic people.
Piret Raud has studied printmaking at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Since graduating in 1995, she has been living and working in Tallinn as a graphic artist, book illustrator and children's literature writer. As part of the cultural days Piret Raud will present her book “Mister Bird’s Story/Härra Linnu Lugu” and conduct a workshop for children

An Estonian art critic Heie
La La Ladies, the only female pop ensemble in Estonia, has been in existence for 3 years. Its members are Kethi Uibomägi, Inga Tislar and Diana Varik. They give concerts in Estonian, English and Russian. Their repertoire includes their own compositions as well as hits that they have rearranged into electro-swing keys.
WAF (We Are Family) choir was created in 2005 and gained mainstream attention after the victory of an Estonian TV show "Laululahing" where choirs from all around Estonia competed against each other in various categories. Since then WAF choir has organized numerous concerts, the most famous concert series is called "White Gospel".
Tallinn City Theater will be presenting a theater performance "Kes kardab Virginia Woolfi?" performed by one of Estonia's most respected actors and actresses. Performance is available only in Estonian, ticket sales open in February.
Ott Lepland is an Estonian singer and songwriter whose singing career began after the victory of Estonian Idol 2009, soon after he represented Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, in Baku. Song "Kuula", originally performed in Estonian, gained high popularity in many European countries but peaked especially high in Estonia, and Belgium.
